The short version

- Regular price is $149 a month. The first 3 agents in each edition get the founder price of $99 a month for as long as they stay subscribed.
- Pay 6 months up front for 10% off, or 12 months up front for 20% off. The one-time $99 setup fee is half off with 6 months and waived with 12 months.
- Exclusive is paid 12 months up front.
- Your plan renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel online any time. No phone call needed.
- Standard plans are not exclusive. Other agents can get the same edition.
- You own your list. You are the sender. You follow email law.
- No lender or other settlement service provider pays us to appear in, or be recommended in, your letter.
1. Who we are
Territory Press is a fictitious business name of Hansen Sales Inc, a California corporation ("Territory Press", "we", "us"). Before launch, Hansen Sales Inc will have a current fictitious business name statement for "Territory Press" on file in the county of its principal place of business, and will keep a mailing address on these terms.
Mailing address: Hansen Sales Inc, dba Territory Press, 305 Banner Ct, Modesto, CA 95356. Email: hello@territorypress.com.
"You" means the individual California DRE licensee who is the named subscriber. If you subscribe on behalf of a team or brokerage, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity, and that person or entity is also bound.
Eligibility. You must hold an active California real estate license. If your license lapses, is suspended or revoked, or you no longer have a responsible broker, we may suspend new issues until it is active again. If it is not active again within 30 days, we may end your subscription and refund any unused prepaid months under section 6.
2. What you get
- A new issue every week for the edition you choose, with local home values, local news and a call to action.
- Your name, headshot, logo, brand color, license details and links in every issue.
- A branded preview before your first send, and help connecting your email platform.
One subscription covers: (a) one named licensed agent, (b) one edition, and (c) one sending identity on one email platform account. "One list" means the contacts associated with that sending identity. A second platform account, a second sending domain, a co-branded team letter, or a second edition requires another subscription. We do not merge, dedupe, or compare lists across subscribers.
We write the issue. You (not us) send it from your own email platform, such as Kit or Mailchimp.
3. Plans and prices
All prices are in US dollars, per agent, per edition.
| Plan | Monthly | 6 months up front (10% off) | 12 months up front (20% off) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular | $149 a month | $804.60 | $1,430.40 |
| Founder | $99 a month | $534.60 | $950.40 |
| Setup fee, one time | $99 | $49.50 | $0 (waived) |
What you pay on day one:
- Regular: $248 monthly ($149 + $99 setup), $854.10 for 6 months ($804.60 + $49.50), or $1,430.40 for 12 months.
- Founder: $198 monthly ($99 + $99 setup), $584.10 for 6 months ($534.60 + $49.50), or $950.40 for 12 months.
Founder price
- The founder price goes to the first 3 agents who sign up for a standard plan in each edition.
- It lasts as long as you stay subscribed without a break. If you cancel and come back later, you pay the regular price.
- A founder seat does not open up again when a founder cancels.
- Founder status is personal. It cannot be sold or transferred.
- The founder price and prepay discounts work together. The prepay discount applies to the founder price.
Setup fee
- One time per subscription, charged with your first payment.
- $99 on monthly billing, $49.50 with 6 months up front, waived with 12 months up front.
Free first month (launch offer)
- If you sign up for a monthly standard plan on or before October 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific time, your first 30 days are free. The one-time setup fee is charged at sign-up.
- A payment method is required at sign-up. On day 30 we charge your monthly price (founder or regular) and then every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel online any time during the free 30 days and you will not be charged the monthly price.
- The offer is one per agent, applies to monthly billing only, and cannot be combined with prepay discounts or setup fee savings.
Add-on
- A custom section or a local video spot, $99 a month.
- Billed monthly, so it is available with monthly standard billing only.
Exclusive
- Locks an edition so no other agent can subscribe to it.
- Priced per edition at about $8 a month for each home sold in an average month, rounded, with a $799 floor and a $2,999 cap a month. The current price for each edition is on the pricing page.
- Paid 12 months up front. For example, $1,149 a month is $13,788 for the 12-month term. No setup fee. No add-on.
- Only offered in an edition where no agent has ever had a standard plan. Once an edition has had standard agents, it stays open to all.
- Not offered in any edition in San Joaquin County or Stanislaus County, where Ryan Hansen's own letter runs. Standard plans are open there.
Taxes and price changes
Prices do not include any tax that may apply. If a tax applies, we'll add it to your invoice as a separate line, and we will tell you before we charge it. You are responsible for any tax we are required to collect.
We may change prices for later billing periods. If we change the recurring fee, we will email you at least 7 days and not more than 30 days before the new fee applies, with the new amount and how to cancel. You may cancel before the new fee applies. The founder price stays as described in this section.
4. Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. We charge the card or bank account you used at checkout.
- Monthly billing renews every month at your monthly price.
- 6 months up front renews every 6 months, and 12 months up front renews every 12 months, for the same term at the same price, unless you switch terms or cancel before the renewal date.
- Exclusive is prepaid for 12 months. After the term it continues month to month as section 8 says. A new 12-month exclusive term starts only if you choose one.
- The add-on renews monthly with your plan.
We comply with California Business and Professions Code sections 17600 to 17606.
Before you pay, we display next to checkout: the price, how often we bill, that the plan renews until you cancel, and how to cancel. You must check an unchecked box that is only about automatic renewal. We keep proof of that consent for the longer of three years or one year after you cancel.
After you pay, we email a confirmation you can keep with these terms, renewal details, the cancel policy, and how to cancel.
We email an annual reminder on every plan. For a 12-month term, we also email between 15 and 45 days before renewal. For a change in the recurring fee, we email between 7 and 30 days before the new fee. Each of those notices states that the plan renews unless you cancel, the renewal term, the amount and frequency, how to cancel, a direct cancel link, and our contact information.
You can cancel online at any time from a billing link in our emails or from your account, with no call required. Cancellation is effective at the end of the period already paid. On a prepaid plan, including Exclusive, you may instead ask to end early, and section 6 applies.
5. Canceling, failed payments and ending service
- Cancel online from the cancel link in any email from us or from your account page. You can also email hello@territorypress.com. We do not take cancellations by phone, and you never need to call.
- Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for. You keep getting issues until then, and you are not charged again.
- Failed payments on standard plans. If a payment fails, we email you and our payment processor, Stripe, retries the charge over the following days. If the payment is still not made 7 days after it first failed, we pause new issues until it is. If it is still not made 21 days after it first failed, we may end your subscription. Ending it does not by itself forgive amounts already owed for periods we delivered. Exclusive: see section 8.
- We may also end your subscription if you break these terms or your license is no longer active (see section 1).
- If we stop publishing your edition, we refund any unused prepaid months in full, with no setup fee deducted.
6. Refunds
- Monthly billing: no refunds for partial months. Canceling stops the next charge.
- Setup fee: not refundable once you have submitted your setup form, except as this section says.
- Prepaid plans (6 months, 12 months, and Exclusive): if you end early, refund = amount paid minus (applicable monthly rate x number of months or partial months used) minus the setup fee actually charged. A refund is never less than $0. "Partial month" means any month in which at least one issue was delivered or made available. The applicable monthly rate is $149 regular, $99 founder, or your edition's exclusive monthly rate.
- Example: Regular, 12 months up front ($1,430.40 paid, setup waived), ended after 3 months. $1,430.40 minus 3 x $149 minus $0 = $983.40 refund.
- Example: Regular, 6 months up front ($854.10 paid, including the $49.50 setup fee), ended after 2 months. $854.10 minus 2 x $149 minus $49.50 = $506.60 refund.
- Example: Founder, 6 months up front ($584.10 paid, including the $49.50 setup fee), ended after 1 month. $584.10 minus $99 minus $49.50 = $435.60 refund.
- Example: Founder, 12 months up front ($950.40 paid, setup waived), ended after 10 months. $950.40 minus 10 x $99 is less than $0, so the refund is $0.
- Example: Exclusive at $1,149 a month ($13,788 paid, no setup fee), ended after 4 months. $13,788 minus 4 x $1,149 = $9,192 refund, and the exclusive lock ends.
- Our mistake: if we charged you in error, or someone else locked your edition a moment before your payment went through, we refund you in full or move you to another edition, your choice.
- If a statute requires a larger refund, we follow the statute.
7. Standard plans are not exclusive
- Other agents can subscribe to the same edition. They get the same or similar content with their own name and branding, sent to their own lists.
- A homeowner on more than one agent's list may get more than one copy. We do not compare or combine lists across agents.
- Founder status is about price only. It does not make your edition exclusive.
8. Exclusive plan
- While your exclusive term is active, we will not sell a standard plan in your edition to anyone else.
- The term is 12 months from your first payment, paid up front.
- If a payment fails, we will email you. If it is not fixed within 14 days, we may end your exclusive lock. Ending the lock does not by itself forgive amounts already owed.
- At the end of the term you get the first chance to renew at the then-current exclusive price. That renewal is an option you must accept. If you do not accept a new 12-month exclusive term, the plan may continue month to month at the same price until you or we cancel. A new 12-month exclusive term is not created by silence. "The same price" means your exclusive monthly rate (one twelfth of the 12-month price).
9. Your letter's name
- You can name your letter and its subtitle. If you do not, a city-area edition is called "The {City} Letter" with your county as the subtitle (for example, "The Stockton Letter: San Joaquin County"), and a whole-county edition is called "The {County} County Letter" (for example, "The Merced County Letter").
- You're responsible for making sure the name isn't someone else's brand.
- You represent that the name and subtitle you choose do not infringe anyone else's trademark or other rights. You will defend and pay claims that arise from that name. Our check against a short brand list is not legal clearance.
- If we require a name change, we will stop using the old name on new issues. We are not required to recall, unsend, or correct issues already delivered. You remain responsible for those sends.
- You may not use "The 209 Insider" (Ryan's own newsletter) or "Territory Press" as your letter's name. Territory Press appears only as the byline.
- You can change the name later from your preview.
10. Your list and email law
- Your list is yours. We will not sell it, share it, or email it for anyone else.
- You are the sender. You will send only to recipients who have given direct consent to hear from you, or with whom you have a preexisting or current business relationship, as those terms are used in California Business and Professions Code section 17529.1. You will keep a valid physical mailing address in every issue, honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, and use accurate header information, sender names, and subject lines. You will not use our content to send to purchased, scraped, or rented lists.
- If you upload a contact list, we use it only to import into your own email platform and we delete it within 30 days, or sooner on written request. We process that file only as your service provider. If you give us access to your email platform, we use it only to build your issues. API keys are stored encrypted. You can remove our access at any time.
11. Content and data sources
- Issues are general information, not legal, tax, appraisal, or financial advice. You must review each issue before you send it. You are responsible for the version you send, including any edit you make. We try to get public figures right and name the source in the issue. We do not warrant that every figure is complete or current. MLS statistics appear only from your MLS, under its rules, with its required notice. We never use your MLS login.
- We write each issue from public sources, named in the issue, such as the FHFA house price index, the U.S. Census Bureau, county offices and local news. We do not use Redfin, Zillow or Freddie Mac data in issues.
12. License and fair housing disclosures
- Every issue will include, in the form California law requires for solicitation materials: your name, your eight-digit DRE license number, a license designation, your responsible broker's identity, and the Equal Housing Opportunity statement. If you are a mortgage loan originator and the issue solicits mortgage business, it will also include your NMLS unique identifier.
- You will give us current license and broker details, keep your license active, and tell us within 5 business days if anything changes. If your broker must approve marketing, you are responsible for that approval before you send.
- Territory Press does not warrant DRE compliance of a send you edit.
13. No RESPA payments, no settlement-service money
- Territory Press does not accept any fee, thing of value, or referral arrangement from a lender, title company, escrow company, or other settlement-service provider for anything in your letter. Your price does not depend on which settlement-service provider you use or mention.
- Ryan Hansen, who started Territory Press, is also a licensed loan officer with CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC. Territory Press is a separate business. CrossCountry Mortgage does not appear in your letter unless you independently buy an optional paid placement, and you are never asked to refer business to Ryan or CrossCountry Mortgage.
- Optional lender or vendor cards are sold only to you, at the posted price for your plan, paid only by you. The featured provider pays us nothing. Today the lender card is included in every plan at no extra charge.
14. Your brand assets
You let us use your name, headshot, logo, brand color, license details and links only to make and deliver your letter and your previews. You confirm you have the right to use them.
15. Our content
We own the issues we write. While you are subscribed, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to send each issue to your list and to post that issue on your own site and social accounts. After you cancel, you may leave already-sent issues in your sent folder and on posts already published. You may not send them again, offer them as a new issue, or let another agent use them.
16. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at territorypress.com/privacy.html explains what we collect from you, what happens to lists you upload, cookies and checkout, how long we keep data, and how to make a California privacy request. We process your contact list only as your service provider.
17. Disclaimers and limits on liability
- The service is provided "as is." We do not promise any particular open rate, number of leads, or sales.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost commissions. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. This limit does not apply to our fraud, willful misconduct, or a claim that cannot be limited under California law.
18. Your responsibility for claims
You will defend and pay third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees that arise from: your list; your sending; the letter name you chose; your brand assets; or changes you make to an issue. This does not require you to cover a claim that the unedited issue we delivered infringed someone else's rights or was defamatory because of our writing, except to the extent you changed it or sent it after we told you not to.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a non-price change takes effect. Price and renewal changes follow sections 3 and 4, including the 7 to 30 day fee-change notice. If you do not agree, cancel before the change applies. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
20. Governing law and where disputes are heard
These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and we may sue in small claims court in San Joaquin County. Otherwise, state or federal courts in San Joaquin County have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a statute requires a different forum. There is no arbitration clause and no class action waiver in these terms.
21. General terms
- Assignment. We may assign these terms, for example to a company that takes over Territory Press. You may not assign them without our written consent.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and the unenforceable part is limited only as much as needed.
- Entire agreement. These terms, the plan and price you chose at checkout, and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. They replace earlier discussions about it.
- Electronic signatures and communications. You agree that checking a box or clicking a button at checkout or in setup is your electronic signature, and that we may give you notices, receipts, reminders and these terms by email or on our site. You can save or print every notice. To change the email we use, update it from your account or write to us.
- Headings. Headings and the short version are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
