Common questions

Editions and pricing

How do editions work? Can other agents share mine?

An edition is the area your letter covers. In San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties, editions are city areas, like Lodi, Woodbridge, Acampo & Lockeford. In Merced, Tuolumne, Calaveras, Amador and Mariposa counties, an edition is the whole county. You can search by town to find yours.

Yes, on the Standard plan several agents can be in the same edition. Each agent's letter has their own name and branding and goes only to their own list. If a homeowner is on two agents' lists, they may get both letters. One subscription covers one agent, one edition and one sending account.

What is founder pricing?

The first 3 agents to sign up for Standard in each edition pay $99 a month instead of $149. You keep that price as long as you stay subscribed without a break. If you cancel and come back later, you pay the regular price. A founder spot does not open up again when someone cancels, and it can't be transferred. Prepay discounts apply on top of the founder price.

What is Exclusive?

Exclusive locks an edition so no other agent can join it while your term is active. It is paid 12 months up front, with no setup fee and no add-on. The price depends on the edition and is listed on the pricing page.

It is only offered in an edition where no agent has ever had a Standard plan, and it is not offered in any San Joaquin County or Stanislaus County edition. When your 12 months end, you get the first chance to renew. If you don't choose a new 12-month term, the plan continues month to month at the same monthly rate until you cancel.

Your letter

When do issues go out?

Every week. We put a ready issue in your email platform, or email it to you to paste in if you chose that option. You look it over and send it when you're ready, since you are the sender. Your weekly issues start after you approve your branded preview.

How do the preview and approval work?

When you finish the setup form, you see a branded sample issue right away, with your name, headshot, logo and colors. It uses sample news and numbers. Your real issues use your edition's news. If it looks right, click Looks good. If not, click I want changes and tell us what to fix. You can also rename your letter there.

How do I change my headshot, logo or info?

Open the setup link from your welcome email. Your saved answers are filled in. Change what you need, save it, and you get a fresh preview to check. To rename your letter, use I want changes on your preview. If your license or broker details change, please update them within 5 business days. Can't find your link? Send us a message.

To change the email on your bill or your card, use Update card or see invoices on your account page.

Billing

How does billing and prepay work?

You can pay monthly, 6 months up front for 10% off, or 12 months up front for 20% off. Stripe charges the card or bank account you used at checkout. A prepaid plan renews for the same term at the same price unless you switch or cancel before the renewal date. To switch terms, send us a message. The add-on ($99 a month) is billed monthly, so it goes with monthly plans. Your account page has a link to update your card and see invoices.

How does the free first month work?

Sign up for a monthly plan by 11:59 PM Pacific on October 31, 2026. You pay the one-time $99 setup fee at checkout, and your first 30 days are free. Your monthly price starts 30 days after sign-up and renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel online before then and you are not charged the monthly price. The setup fee is not refunded once you have submitted your setup form. Prepay plans are not part of this offer; they keep their own discount and setup fee savings.

What is the setup fee?

A one-time fee, charged with your first payment: $99 on monthly billing, $49.50 with 6 months up front, and waived with 12 months up front. Exclusive has no setup fee. Once you have submitted your setup form, the setup fee is not refundable, except as the refund rules below say.

Will you remind me before I renew?

Yes. Every plan renews automatically until you cancel, and we email you about it:

  • Once a year on every plan, in the month before your sign-up anniversary.
  • On a 12-month plan, also 15 to 45 days before it renews.
  • If your price ever changes, 7 to 30 days before the new price applies.

Each reminder says what you'll be charged and how often, and has a direct link to cancel.

What happens if a payment fails?

We email you, and Stripe tries the charge again over the next few days. You can update your card from your account page. On Standard plans, if the payment still hasn't gone through 7 days after it first failed, we pause new issues until it does. After 21 days, we may end your subscription. On Exclusive, if it isn't fixed within 14 days, we may end your exclusive lock. Ending a plan doesn't erase what's owed for issues already delivered.

Can I get a refund?
  • Monthly: no refunds for part of a month. Canceling stops the next charge.
  • Prepaid (6 months, 12 months or Exclusive): you can ask to end early. Your refund is what you paid, minus your monthly rate for each month or part of a month used, minus any setup fee you were charged. It is never less than $0. For example, Regular 12 months up front ($1,430.40) ended after 3 months: $1,430.40 minus 3 x $149 = $983.40 back.
  • Our mistake: if we charged you in error, or someone locked your edition a moment before your payment went through, we refund you in full or move you to another edition, your choice.
  • If we stop publishing your edition, we refund any unused prepaid months in full.

To ask for a refund, send us a message. The full rules are in section 6 of the terms.

How do I cancel?

Online, any time, no phone call needed. On your account page, click Cancel my subscription. It opens Stripe's cancel screen, and one click cancels. Every email from us also has a direct cancel link. Your plan stops at the end of the period you already paid for. You keep getting issues until then and you won't be charged again. On a prepaid plan you can ask to end early instead (see refunds).
